I love Country music because it tells the story of real people in real life doing real things. Reality in pure form. My son would argue that Rap does the same thing which I do not dispute, however Rap talks about the inner city, gangs, violence etc. That is a life far from the Mountain foothills that we live in. I moved us away from that sort of life 3 1/2 years ago.

My father ... he passed away 10 years ago but his memory still lives on. He was an exceptional man. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. The lessons that he taught were heartfelt and much needed. I didn't always understand him at the time of the lesson but over time I have come to know and embrace each lesson. I'm sure there are more that will become relevant in the future but he laid the foundation and now each time the roadblocks are set infront of me I just have to reflect on each lesson, scoop up the roadblock and secure it to my foundation.
